Toppers can be considered any additional food added to an already formulated diet. They should not exceed 10% of the regular diet. The following are some ideas for toppers that your pet can enjoy. Remember to keep their diet “colorful” by adding different types of fruits, vegetables and proteins. Vegetables should be cooked and cut into small pieces for our pets to be able to benefit from their nutritious characteristics. Fruits may be offered raw. These are just a few options.
