This diet is for pets with dry skin, and is a Yin and Blood tonic.
For cancer patients, use the frittata option, which eliminates the grain.
3-6 large eggs
1 ½ can of wild caught maceral, sardines, or other white fish. (Avoid tuna, which is high and mercury.) Other cooling meats, such as pork and turkey, may also be used.
For a ketogenic diet, other proteins can be used including: salmon (warming), ham (stimulate appetite), uncured bacon or sausage, and beef (Blood tonic).
¼ Cup brown rice, cooked.
½ Cup chopped, cooked broccoli
½ Cup chopped, cooked spinach
To flavor add thyme, basil, oregano
1 Tablespoon bonemeal (Standard Process Calcifood is available in the office.)
Preheat oven to 350 F. In a mixing bowl beat eggs, add other ingredients. For the ketogenic frittata, pour into oiled pie or square cake pan, and cook for 45 minutes. For the quiche, using cooked rice, pat the rice onto the bottom of the oiled pan, then pour the egg mixture on top of the rice and bake for 45 minutes.
Feed 2-4 cups for each 25 pounds of ideal body weight daily, or use to supplement kibble diet. If feeding only homecooked food, add a vitamin/mineral supplement.
